It’s been almost 10 years since I was posting regularly. Much has changed – marriage, three children, a cross-country move – but God’s grace continues to sustain.
This year marks the 500th anniversary of Luther’s nailing of the 95 Theses on the door of the castle church in Wittenberg. It also (roughly) marks my tenth year of pastoral ministry. That’s 1/50th of the Protestant Reformation! It’s often hard to associate ordinary life and ministry with the world-changing events of 500 years ago. Yet, there’s no question that we stand on the shoulders of those who have gone before us, and that the legacy of gospel ministry carries on through the church today. Our faithfulness matters… and that may even include a simple website like this one.
We look back on 500 years to look forward to the next 500. The Reformation continues.
